Although Nintendo themselves didn’t participate in this year’s E for All expo in the L.A. Convention Center, a good amount of their latest releases were available to play and purchase through the Target booth. Nintendo’s Wii console offered playable copies of Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wii Fit and Wii Play. A unit for Boom Blox was also available outside the Target outlet. These games were ready to be purchased at huge quantities; a lot of Wii Fit scavengers finally got their hands on the hard-to-find fitness product, and plenty of Wii consoles were also up for grabs.
Other than that, however, Nintendo’s absence this year was heavily felt. The company recently held international press conferences and offered game demos; it would’ve been nice to see some of them at E for All, including Animal Crossing, The Conduit, and Wii Music. We hope ‘the big N’ returns to E for All next year.
