Pool Party

Southpeak Games and Hyper Devbox are bringing us a nice looking Pool and Snooker game to Wii. Granted, that doesn't sound like terrific news in itself, but we haven't actually got a proper cue and ball game on Wii yet. We may well have had some silly mini game versions of Billiards in Super Monkey Ball but this is your proper dingy pub-style pool game. The game features 13 different pool modes and 10 rooms and tables. Everything looks nice and smooth and is in full 3D which is pretty groovy. Hopefully the motion sensing controls wont be too over the top, I'm up for some subtle movement for it to feel realistic enough, but I don't want any waggle to charge your power and such forth, let's leave that to Hudson or Camelot for Super Mario Snooker shall we? Yes. Meanwhile, Pool Party is coming out on July 18th and could be worth a look.
