Nintendo too casual at E3?

I nearly took the night off of work to stay at home and watch Nintendo's E3 press conference, boy am I glad I didn't. If you want to know why then please do continue to read the rantings of a real Nintendo fan.

Nintendo's hour long press conference did bring us some interesting things, Wii Sports 2 with an upgrade to the Wii Remote, the return of Animal Crossing and even a voice chat microphone. However it's what Nintendo didn't talk about that has raised concerns to a long term Nintendo fan (me).

Where was the eagerly awaited news of extra Wii storage? Nintendo said it was working on the issue, but that doesn't help the thousands of people waiting for more room on their Wii, personally I am happy with copying to and from SD, but others are too lazy.

No WiiWare or Virtual Console news! With digital distribution likely to be the future, why didn't Nintendo tell us about the great stuff we could expect to download in the near future?

A total lack of games announced for the 'hardcore gamer', no Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong or even Star Fox. They might be the old faithful, but a good Nintendo game can't be beat, the only real first party title mentioned was Wii Sports 2. Whilst fun, that won't see me through the winter folks.

As for Wii Music, Nintendo's insistence to turn these initial Wii Remote tech demo's into full price games is getting frustrating. I want a proper game, not something I need three mates and a barrel of beer to enjoy - Mr Miyamoto, give me something I can play in the dark and on my own with no clothes on!
