Mastiff Entertainment, makers of such games as Major League Eating: The Game, have announced that they will release a hunting simulator for the Wii later this year. Deer Drive is a first-person hunting simulator similar to Cabela's Dangerous Hunts, but it will be the first game of this type to appear on the Wii.
According to the publisher, Deer Drive meshes hunting simulation with arcade style pick-up-and-play action and pacing for a more action-oriented gaming experience. Deer Drive also has the distinction of being the first deer hunting game to feature two player simultaneous hunting, so you and a friend can help thin the herd together. Unlike other hunting simulators, Deer Drive also features "Ethical Hunting" options, although we are not sure that it will be enough to quell the inevitable protests from animal rights and parents groups when they find out that this game is coming to the family-friendly console.
Bill Swartz, CEO of Mastiff summed up the game this way: "Most hunting games are slow moving simulations with frustrating controls. Deer Drive is all about shooting, all about pick-up-and-play fun and being a more accurate marksman and better hunter than your friends."
