Nintendo has revealed that they have sold over 600,000 Wii during the console's first week on the American market. That calculates out to a rate of almost one per second, and accounts for $190 million when including first-party games and accessories.
"Even with sales already in excess of 600,000 units, demand continues to exceed supply, as it's clear this is one of the 'gotta-have' products for the holiday season," said Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime.
In addition, over 450,000 units of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess have been sold, giving the game better than a 75% attach rate.
