Yes, it is true ladies and gentlemen. Lara Croft is back and this time not even the Wii is safe from her tomb raiding. Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary will be launching on the Wii console in the Winter of 2007. The story goes is that Lara is hired by some syndicate to retrieve an artifact called the "Scion." However, she soon discovers that there's more to this mission than just retrieving the artifact and she decides to unravel the mystery before it is too late.

The game contains many features that will push the wii to its limit. Players will encounter puzzles in which they will have to use the wii-mote to turn and grab locks, draw symbols, and position certain gears. Also, Lara is well equipped with a tool kit. This kit will enable players to break through fragile walls with a pick ax to uncover hidden rooms and reveal clues buried beneath sediment with a brush just to name a few. The wii-mote can also be used as a flashlight! Just twist the wii-mote to either narrow or widen the beam. Also, if the light starts to flicker, just shake the wii-mote to give it more power! As for climbing, jumping, shaking free from the clutches of the enemy, and shimmying along edges, players can execute all these moves by just the flick of the wrist while holding the wii-mote. The combat control also gives players something to enjoy. Players can take precise aiming with the wii-mote while using the nunchuk controller to dodge and slide away from enemies.

With these few revealed features, it seems like the new Tomb Raider game will be one of the upcoming titles to check out for the Wii!
