Do you think you are a quick draw, cowboy? Thanks to this week's WiiWare release from Gameloft, you can quit practicing in front of the mirror and test your guns against some real human and virtual outlaws.
Part shooting gallery and part on-rails arcade game, Wild West Guns will appeal to fans of the poor-man's Duck Hunt that shipped with Wii Play. Hitting targets like balloons, medals and vultures will help rack up the points, while them pesky outlaws will try to ambush you from behind cover. Of course, like any on-rails shooter, the game environment will be littered with civilans, so be sure to watch your trigger finger.
The game includes a variety of modes to play against the computer or with a firend. You can take part in an Old West-style train attack, or challenge your skills in a variety of increasingly difficult shooting challenges in other beautiful, classic and lively Western environments. Play in a two-player multiplayer mode where you and your partner can combine points, or play against each other to find out who's the fastest gun in the West. The game is also compatible with the Wii Zapper, for that authentic pistol feel.
Wild West Guns has support for 2 players and will cost 1,000 Wii Points. Check out the trailer below to see why this looks like some of the best fun to be had on the console for only $10.
